Re-New It Services History

To fully understand Re-New-It Services you have to look at its owner Mazlone Caldwell. Mazlone’s passion for woodworking dates back to his early years when his grandmother gave him a small allowance for cleaning and polishing her wood furniture. Little did he know how that small act would have such an impact on his life.

After graduating with acquired skills in business, accounting, and sales he turned his attention to woodworking as a livelihood. The combination of the two led to the formation of Re-New-It in Fairmont, North Carolina in 1974. At 23 his talents were called upon by Robeson Technical College in Lumberton, North Carolina (now Robeson Community College), to instruct classes in the art of furniture restoration. In time the services of Re-New-It were being requested throughout the east coast. Some of the nation’s largest hotel chains were calling upon his services in furniture maintenance and repair. Growing to Better Serve You

As the demand for service grew, Mazlone was compelled to recruit and train others to assist him in providing the same quality service that was now expected. In 1989 the company relocated to Baltimore, Maryland and changed the name to Re-New-It Services and eventually Re-New-It Service Systems to encompass the array of services being offered. Presently, along with furniture refinishing and repair, the company’s services include re-upholstery, leather and vinyl repair, and upholstery cleaning.
